Accessing Noa for Free
Is there a cost to creating an account with Noa?
No, it’s free. No payment details or other commitments are required to create an account.
And what’s more, when you do sign up, you’ll also receive a free listen balance each week, so you can listen anytime, anywhere, without being charged.
Can I start listening for free?
Yes, just sign up. You will be able to access many articles for free. No payment details are required. Simply create your account and begin listening.
How many articles can I listen to for free?
When you first sign up, we will give you a “listen balance” that you can use on any non-premium articles. Then, once you have used up your balance, each week we will give additional listens, without any charge.
We change the “listen balance” from time to time, but it’s typically a handful of free articles per week. To get unlimited access to all Noa’s content, you can Go Premium.
Can I get access to all publishers if I don’t subscribe?
Not quite. If you don’t subscribe, you can access many fantastic publishers, but not all of them. Some publishers, like Harvard Business Review, The New York Times and The Economist are Premium only. We change this list from time to time but, we aim to ensure that a good variety of publishers are available for free. To get unlimited access to all titles, you can Go Premium.
Can I get a free trial of Noa Premium?
Yes, most Noa Premium subscription options come with a free trial of the service. During this time, you will be able to listen to unlimited content across all available publishers. If you cancel before your trial ends, you will not be charged for the subscription.
How to Sign Up
Do I need to sign up before I start listening?
Do I need to download the app to sign up?
No, it’s easy to sign up via our website. You can begin listening to full articles online once you have signed up.
For the best listening experience, we strongly recommend that you download our mobile app. Not only will this allow you to listen wherever you go, it will also give you access to useful features, such as offline listening, a custom queue for articles, a sleep mode, and much more.
How do you sign up with a guest pass?
If you have been sent a guest pass link, open it on your web browser and select “Claim Free Pass”. A “Sign up” pop-up will appear. You can then opt to sign up with your Google login, your Facebook login, or with your email. Once you have made your choice, please select the “Sign up” button.
Note that if you already have a Noa account, you don’t need to sign up again. Instead, please select the “Already have an account?” option at the bottom of the sign up pop-up.
Do I need to sign up to Noa even if I have an account with one of your publishers?
Yes, while Noa works with many publishers to produce their best articles over audio, we do operate different content platforms. If you wish to enjoy all that Noa has to offer, the first step is to sign up. From there you will be able to sample some our content for free.
In addition, if you hold a subscription with an existing publisher, this won’t be recognised on our platform. However, for certain publications, we can offer you a special Noa Premium subscription rate in recognition of your existing support for quality journalism. Please get in touch with the team here, and we will get back to you asap.
