Your Free Noa Trial
How do I start a free trial of Noa Premium?
Noa’s monthly and annual subscriptions come with a free trial. This allows you to experience many of the benefits of the service before being charged. This also gives you the time to consider how Noa can work for you.
To start a free trial, sign up or log in to Noa. Then go to activate a subscription on either our website or within our mobile app.
On mobile, open the app menu where you will find the option to “upgrade” your subscription.
On web, visit the “Account” page and select “Start free trial”.
Select the subscription option that works best for you and follow the onscreen instructions to activate it.
While you will be asked for payment details at the start of your trial, you will not be charged anything until your trial is over. If you cancel before your trial ends, you also won’t be charged. You are free to cancel anytime.
Please note that free trials are only available for first-time subscribers.
Can I have more than one free trial?
Our trials allow you to experience the many benefits of Noa Premium. For this reason, Noa limits free trials to first-time subscribers only.
Why should I trial Noa Premium when I can already listen for free?
If you are getting value from Noa’s free listens, you will certainly find far more value from Noa Premium.
With a subscription, you get unlimited access to all our content, unlocking many valuable publications that are not available to free listeners. You will also be able to experience Noa’s Series in full, without having to skip premium articles that contain important insight.
Moreover, there are no advertisements, so you get to listen uninterrupted to the news that matters most to you.
What happens at the end of my trial?
Your chosen subscription will be activated at the end of your trial. The payment details you provided will be used to cover the cost of this subscription, and your access to Noa Premium will continue without interruption.
How can I cancel my trial?
We're sorry to hear that you would like to cancel. If you felt the trial was too short or if you didn’t find the time to use the service, please get in touch here and let us know.

From here, you can cancel your Android subscription.

Your Subscription
Do I need to sign up to Noa even if I have a subscription with one of the publishers you work with?
Yes. While Noa works with various publishers to produce their content over audio, our own platform is entirely separate from any other publication. In fact, we offer a different service that will compliment your existing subscription.
Noa doesn’t simply host audio versions of newspapers, we have our own editorial team and own unique way of presenting quality journalism designed to make it easier for you to understand the news.
Alongside any existing publication subscription you have, Noa can offer additional perspectives and analysis on top of what you have already read, leaving you with a deeper understanding of the subject. And the best part is, you don’t need to find additional time to ‘read’ this extra material.
Where can I subscribe to Noa?
You can subscribe to Noa on our website, or from within our mobile app.
First, sign up or log in. On mobile, you can then open the app menu where you will find the option to “Upgrade” your subscription.
On web, visit the Account page and select “Start free trial”.
What happens when my gift or guest subscription expires?
When your gift subscription expires, your account will no longer have access to Noa Premium. You will however be able to continue to listen to a handful of free articles each week.
Can I subscribe before my gift or guest subscription expires?
Yes, you may. Please contact us here, and we can send you a subscription link.
Is there a student subscription option?
Yes. A student subscription is available for anyone with a university email address.
Our student offer is only available in our iPhone or Android app.
I am seeing different prices. Why is this?
If we have made an error and are showing an older offer that is now expired, please let us know here. As a thank you for highlighting such a discrepancy, we will commit to offering you the lower rate, while also offering you a small gift.
What payment methods do you accept?
Noa accepts the following payment methods to purchase subscriptions:
- Playback speed adjustment, from 1.0x to 2.5x
- Sleep timer
- Rewind 15-seconds
- Read along (displays original article text)
- Custom article queue
- Download and listen offline
- Save articles
- AirPlay (iPhone only)
- Share articles
If you would like to see us offer additional payment methods, please contact us here.
Why is my credit card being declined?
Typically, your bank or card provider is responsible if payments with your card are declined. You can try another card if you have one available, but if that also doesn’t work, we suggest that you call your bank and enquire about the transaction.
If you have reason to believe that the payment issue is on our end, please contact us here.
How easy is it to cancel?
If you are on the free tier of Noa, you will never be charged and therefore do not need to cancel.
If, however, you are on a trial or have a current subscription, you can cancel anytime. How you should cancel depends on how you first subscribed. If you subscribed on the Noa website, then head over to the Account page and hit cancel. If you subscribed in the Noa app, then you will need to go to your Apple or Play Store settings to cancel.
Contact us here if you have any questions.
Can I listen to articles after I have cancelled my subscription?
Absolutely. Noa offers a free tier of access that allows you to listen to a limited number of articles each week.
What happens if I cancel my subscription early?
We will make sure you keep the access you paid for. If you cancel before your subscription expires, you can continue to listen to Noa right up until your paid subscription ends.
However, once you hit your subscription’s expiration date, it will not renew if you have cancelled it, and your account will no longer have Noa Premium.
You can of course continue to listen to a handful of articles each week using Noa’s free tier of access.
Will my subscription automatically renew?
Yes, your monthly or annual subscription will automatically renew to avoid any interruption to the service. However, you can change this if you wish by simply cancelling your subscription.
How can I turn off the auto-renew feature for my subscription?
If you want to turn off the subscription auto-renewal, you must cancel your subscription (see the below question for more information).
